For us, it's not just about the cats in our care, although they are certainly our top priority. But we also believe in giving back and allowing our community (near and far) to learn and benefit from all that we have experienced, to help other pet owners in their time of need, and provide a volunteer opportunity for those also looking to give back while increasing their knowledge at the same time. We are stronger together.
Neighbors in Need
We know first hand how difficult and expensive it is to care for a beloved pet and one of our main goals is to help owners and their pets out in their most desperate time of need. Pet parents often find themselves having to make very difficult decisions like surrendering or euthanizing a beloved pet for lack of funds or lack of healthcare options. Doodle's Ranch and Sanctuary is here to help as we believe that, in most cases, the best case scenario is for human and cat to remain together. We can even assist with temporary fostering of your beloved pet when you are faced with a personal crisis. Please reach out to learn more!
Whether you are a fan of cats or considering a career in pet care, you are welcome to visit the sanctuary as often as you would like (our cats love visitors as it means extra pets!!). You will learn new skillsets and competencies around cat care, including how to administer medications, how to make a raw food diet, general cat health care and grooming, how to properly clean and disinfect, and learn more about specific cat ailments and illnesses. If you have a topic you want to learn more about, let us know!
Our team can be available to answer questions or concerns about your own cat's health and offer real solutions from the ease of your computer or mobile device. We will guide you on next steps through our online support, our partnership referrals, and our network of vetted cat care professionals who share similar ethics and values. We will discover, validate, collaborate and initiate a plan of action, set smart goals, and position solutions that best fit the needs of your special needs cat so that you and your cat can have access to the best care in order to promote a happy and healthy life together.
One on One Education
Our one on one program allows us to dive deeper into your immediate needs with a face to face conversation in your home (local residents only), at the sanctuary, or through an app. This is a free, hands on experience that will relieve you of added stresses from not having the support we provide. Every cat will have its day and we are here to prepare you for those unexpected medical needs with the tools and education that will create a long and healthy life for you and your cat.
Our crew may sleep a lot, but we are always open!
